Pedestrian struck tileA pedestrian was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle Friday night on Interstate 75 North, according to authorities.
The crash happened just after 8:50 p.m. near the Merchants Drive exit in Knoxville. I-75 was shut down for a little less than an hour.
The pedestrian’s name and condition weren’t immediately available.
