Soddy-Daisy may be quite a few miles away from New York state, but that didn’t stop several Hamilton College students from spending their spring break not on a warm beachfront, soaking up the sun, but instead working hard to improve the Cumberland Trail right here in Hamilton County.
The event was part of Hamilton College’s Alternative Spring Break program, which encourages students to spend their week off helping people or places in need. The trip down to the Cumberland Plateau is just one of many volunteer trips the students from the college have made in the name of environmental service.
