Widespread Panic, arguably among the world’s most popular touring jam bands, will play Memorial Auditorium on Wednesday, April 20 as part of a nationwide tour. They last played here during Riverbend in 2014.
Panic is known both for the extended versions of songs they play live and for their loyal fans who follow them around the country a la The Grateful Dead fans of old and Phish.
The band formed in Athens, Ga., more than 30 years ago when John “JB” Bell, joined bassist Dave Schools and guitarist Michael Houser, rented a house together and began playing music.
