Chamber’s Diversify Conference
Valoria Armstrong, president of Tennessee American Water, the largest investor-owned water utility in the state – urged business leaders to do more to reach out and include more minorities in local businesses. Armstrong spoke to more than 800 people at the convention center in June at the 3rd annual Diversify Conference sponsored by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.
Get Seated launch party
Get Seated is a mobile app that shows participating restaurant wait times. The new app launched in Chattanooga on July aftter being unveiled during a “Get Seated” party.
“We aim to help people spend more time doing the things they love instead of waiting at a restaurant,” says Andrew Byrum, founder and president of the Chattnaoog startup. The Get Seated team has been researching and developing the app for almost two years.
