With his senior golf season at Lipscomb University on the horizon, Mikey Feher did a little fine-tuning with his game over the weekend in the Brainerd Invitational.
It was some really fine-tuning.
Feher shot 7 under par in each round of the two-day tournament at Brainerd Golf Course, and his cumulative 130 was good enough for a four-stroke victory Sunday in the championship flight.
“I hit my hybrid really well off the tee,” said Feher, who noted he landed in one hazard with it in 36 holes. “I didn’t have a three-putt or a bogey either day. My short game was very important.”
Mitch Hufstetler won the senior division by five shots after shooting 66 each day.
