Those looking to make a change to a healthier lifestyle can get a head start in September by attending free wellness classes in Stuart Heights organized by local fitness instructor Kelly Summersett.

Summersett offered similar classes during the spring which boasted 90 attendees, she said. That success inspired her to try the event again.

“This is just one way of giving back to the community,” Summersett said of the series, which uses several classes to help show people easy ways to change their lifestyles, “I’ve designed the classes for everyone, so even if you’re out of shape or can’t participate in person, you can get some benefit.”

A part of the 21-day program is a private Facebook group that Summersett invites everyone to join, that serves as a place for people to ask questions and get support as they struggle through changing their lifestyle habits. That sort of positive encouragement, she said, can make all the difference in terms of success for someone looking to live healthier.
