Forty students, ranging from 4 to 12 years old, have been working for the past four months to perfect their musical performances for Christmas With Expression Engine, the inaugural holiday concert by East Lake Expression Engine, a music education after-school program in the East Lake neighborhood.
The concert by an orchestra, choir and bucket band will be tonight, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. at New City Fellowship Church, 2424 E. Third St.
Admission is free, but a love offering will be collected to benefit students enrolled in the El Sistema-inspired program.
