Business Briefs: Walmart stores raise $195,586 for Children’s Hospital at Erlanger

Local Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members recently wrapped up a seven-week campaign, collecting $195,586 on behalf of Children’s Hospital at Erlanger from 27 area stores. It was part of a national campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that resulted in nearly $37 million for member hospitals across America.

“It’s especially gratifying to know that donations raised for Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care,” said Sean Riley, Walmart regional general manager.

The fall campaign is the most recent in annual fundraising by the retailers. Walmart and Sam’s Club associates have collected nearly $1 billion for sick and injured children since partnering with the charity in 1987.
