Don’t waste money on failed Smith

Under Rick Smith’s leadership, our schools rank among the worst in the state, their facilities are crumbling, classes are overcrowded and children are not safe. Despite these facts, several school board members have come to his defense. Joe Galloway thinks Smith should stay and somehow believes that if a child is raped around a holiday, the superintendent should be given a pass for not doing his job. George Ricks thinks Smith “deserves” a buyout for three decades of service. I guess Mr. Ricks did not notice our schools were better three decades ago.

Fire Mr. Smith without a cent beyond what he has already been (over)paid. If he sues, fine. No jury in the state could be convinced he has even earned what he has already been paid. If the children and their education truly come first, don’t waste any more money on someone who has failed them.
