Firebombing attacks under investigation

Two Chattanooga homes were firebombed around midnight Wednesday in East Chattanooga, and investigators are working to find those responsible.

Kyle Miller, spokesman for the Chattanooga Police Department, said investigators have not confirmed whether the attack was gang-related.

But, police say, validated gang members live in both houses that were targeted, and the suspects also are believed to be gang members.

“We will assist to track down any leads of gang relation or retaliation,” Miller said.

The first attack happened few minutes before midnight at 6302 Talledega Ave., according to fire officials. Someone threw an incendiary device that cracked the window of a house, but it bounced off and landed in the yard.
