Shares of Chattanooga area companies posted a mixed year, much like the broader markets.
Of the seven local publicly traded companies, the stock prices of three finished 2015 ahead of a year ago while four were down.
Calhoun, Ga.-based floorcovering manufacturer Mohawk Industries led the gainers with its shares soaring 21.9 percent last year to close Thursday at $189.39, figures show.
“Mohawk just executed,” said Jim Campbell, principal at Chattanooga-based wealth management firm Campbell Asset Management.
