Where is media on deaths of children?

“Black Lives Matter” is a slogan and a movement that has come into prominence in recent months. But actually I would suggest the life of every American should “matter.” The lives of Japanese-Americans, German-Americans, Italian- Americans, the lives of all of our children, and, yes, the lives of police officers, including black officers, Hispanic officers and white officers should matter to all of us.

Most of these officers are courageous, self-sacrificing and professional. I think the media is showing the only black lives that matter to them are the few gunned down by a white police officer. They will obsess covering these accounts and give them front-page, national attention for days. They don’t care to give any coverage to the innocent black children being gunned down in many of our big cities. And they don’t seem to give any national or headline coverage to the hundreds of other black lives being taken out in our big cities by gunfire every year.

I would suggest every one of these lives should matter to the media, the leaders of the “Black Lives Matter” movement and to all of us!
