Mitch Garver, Daniel Palka lead Lookouts to second straight win

Friday's recap: After enduring a weather delay of nearly two hours before first pitch, the Lookouts (35-33) picked up their second straight win in Montgomery, Ala. Southern League All-Star selections Mitch Garver and Daniel Palka each finished 2-for-3 with a double, with Garver collecting four RBIs and Palka driving in two runs and scoring twice. Despite being outhit 14-7 for the game, Chattanooga took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and stretched it to 4-0 in the third and 8-0 in the fifth before the Biscuits rallied for two runs in the seventh, scored again in the eighth and picked up two more in the ninth. Omar Bencomo pitched the final 1 2/3 innings for the Lookouts, giving up a two-run double in the ninth but also striking out the side as he earned his third save of the season. David Hurlbut (5-3) earned the win after scattering seven hits with no walks and three strikeouts in six innings. Montgomery had five doubles but left 11 runners on base and was 3-for-15 with runners in scoring position.

Next up: Game four of a five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 7:35 EDT.

Pitchers: Aaron Slegers (4-4, 3.66) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Jake Faria (1-5, 4.14) scheduled for the Biscuits.
