As 1885 winds down from serving Riverbend Festival crowds and looks forward to the start of summer – when it will feature a number of new cold dishes, such as gazpacho, ceviche and shrimp cocktail, for example – change is in the air at St. Elmo’s Southern coastal bistro.
While its staff is bustling to get the restaurant ready for a new season, let us kick back with a sparkling glass of 1885’s new Scenic City Storm cocktail and take a quick refresher course on the bistro’s standing weekly specials.
First, every Monday features half-price baskets of wings – and not just any wings,
but three-time award-winning wings. In 2014 and 2015, 1885’s chicken wings took first place at the Chattanooga Market’s annual Scenic City Wing Cook-Off. Most recently, they won second place at the 2016 Tennessee Whiskey Festival.
In addition to wing specials, on Mondays 1885 also offers $1 off craft draft brews and domestic bottles.
Then, on Tuesdays, the bistro boasts $15 margarita pitchers and $5 shrimp cocktails served with a side of outdoor entertainment. Live music takes place on the patio from 6-9 p.m.
