Who’s the fringe candidate?
Campus Reform sought out some young voters recently to test their knowledge of the presumptive presidential candidates, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. The “contestants” were asked to match the candidates with descriptions about them.
Among the descriptions: “This candidate accepted millions of dollars from the kings of Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Oman”; “Which candidate made a joke about ‘colored people time,’ saying that black people are always late?”; “Which candidate said they carry hot sauce everywhere they go to ‘pander’ to black voters?”; and “This candidate wore a $12,000 suit while giving a speech about inequality.”
In every case, the outlandish statements were made by or the descriptions were about Clinton.
“Oh, that makes me sad,” one woman said.
