Taylor Force (Vanderbilt University/The Tennessean)University Chancellor Nick Zeppos announced in a letter that Force, a 28-year-old student at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management, had been killed in a "stabbing attack" in Tel Aviv. Other students, faculty and staff on the trip were not hurt, Zeppos said.
Ten other people were wounded in the attack in Jaffa, an ancient port city that is now part of Tel Aviv, according to an early account from Israeli police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld. The attacker, who was identified as a Palestinian, was shot and killed, Rosenfeld said.
