Courter: Things I wish my kids would ask me

Editor’s Note: Barry Courter has a 27-year-old son who is a college graduate and a 22-year-old daughter who is a college senior. Each week he poses a question he wishes they would ask.

Q: Dad, what is one of the things you most disliked hearing from parents when you were coaching Little League?

A: “That’s all right.” It usually came from the stands right after the player did exactly what he had just been instructed not to do, or he did it exactly opposite from the way he’d been taught. Well that or: “Your starting pitcher for today has an ear infection.”
