Severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and localized flash flooding are possible Thursday and Thursday night across the central and southern Tennessee Valley and across Southwest North Carolina.
A storm system is set to move across the Tennessee Valley and Southern Appalachians Thursday into Thursday night. Strong and gusty winds are expected across the higher elevations late Wednesday night through Thursday night.
Some strong severe thunderstorms are possible late Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning with the main concern being damaging winds and large hail with the possibility of isolated tornadoes across southeast Tennessee.
