Dennis Haskins, the Chattanooga native who played principal Mr. Belding on the long-running hit TV show “Saved by the Bell,” has donated his scripts from the show along with some other memorabilia.
He’ll hand over these Hollywood souvenirs at 4 p.m. Monday, April 4, in the Southern Writers Room on the fourth floor of the UTC Library. A reception and program will follow, and there also will be a video presentation. Events are free and open to everyone.
Haskins, who left UTC before graduating in 1980 to pursue his acting career, received his diploma from the school back in December. He is a frequent visitor to Mocs football and basketball games.
Haskins was a walk-on basketball player at UTC, where he also got involved in acting.
