Weave: A Conceptual Dance Company, which specializes in hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, ballet and modern dance, will present its third annual Spring Showcase this weekend, for the first time in its new home studio at 4413 Brainerd Road.
Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15.
The showcase will feature perennial favorites such as “Nerds”; new works including “Alice in Wonderland,” which debuted at this year’s Palate to Palette; and “They Don’t Care About Us,” artistic director Bernadette Upton’s new work that won the Entertainment Award at Artists Simply Human dance conference.
Visitors will be able to tour the new facility and chat with the dancers and choreographers.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
