Columnist Cook is correct about Corker
David Cook’s “Community Conversation” on page A2 Sunday was right on.
When I read in the TFP on May 6 that Bob Corker had told the Chattanooga Downtown Rotary Club that he saw Trump’s ideas on foreign affairs as “a really important step in a good direction,” I immediately thought that Sen. Corker was angling to be vice president under Trump.
I was incredulous and personally disgusted.
It appears to me that Corker has moved from his position of being among the more sensible Republicans in the Senate, seemingly for personal political ambition.
