Champions of Health Care honored
More than 300 health care and community leaders recognized the winners of the first annual Champions of Health Care winners, sponsored by Edge magazine. Nine individuals and organizations were recognized during a September luncheon at The Chattanoogan after they were nominated for the awards by their peers and selected for the honors by a panel of health care experts.
Celebrating Chattanooga’s billion-dollar industry
The 75th annual meeting of the Chattanooga Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in September celebrated the more than doubling in size of Chattanooga’s tourism industry in the past 25 years. Last year, spending by tourists and visitors helped pump more than $1 billion into Chattanooga’s economy for the first time.
