“The Bailers? The Jail (h)er! and the Arc of Fog Horns: Works by Brent Weston,” a solo show by the local artist, will open with a reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at AVA Gallery, 30 Frazier Ave.
Weston earned this solo outing by winning Best in Show in AVA’s “Juried Members Exhibition” last winter, a tradition to be continued with the 2016 “Juried Members Exhibition” in December.
Weston, who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has exhibited in group and solo shows across the Southeast and previously was the curator of LostNest, an experimental art space in downtown Chattanooga.
His AVA show will continue through Tuesday, Nov. 22. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and first Saturdays.
