Makinde London didn’t sleep much Thursday night.
He had no idea what the chances were that he would be able to play in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s basketball season opener against Tennessee. He dozed off, woke back up, dozed back off, woke back up.
By 6:19 a.m., he was up tweeting.
Around 2:30 p.m. he found out the news he’d been waiting to hear.
The 6-foot-11 London, who played last season for Xavier, received his hardship waiver from the NCAA on Friday afternoon, allowing him to play that night against the Volunteers.
