Among the items in the gift shop are prints and magnet scenes of this painting, “Columbus Discovers America,” by John Fleming Gould (1906-1996), who founded the Bethlehem Art Gallery and Art School near Newburgh, N.Y., was an illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post for several years and an art consultant for General Electric Co.’s Locomotive Division.

His son, Robert Gould, recently moved to Chattanooga from upstate New York and brought his father’s 70-year art collection to the area.
