Signal Mountain’s parks are finally getting new rules.

During the Signal Mountain Town Council’s November meeting, officials approved an ordinance to amend the town’s park regulations and guidelines, replacing the old rules – phrased as suggestions – with new, strongly worded ones.

Despite the amendment to the municipal code, the “new” rules are not necessarily new.

“This isn’t changing anything or adding, deleting restrictions,” Town Manager Boyd Veal said. “It is simply a rewording and making the regulations enforceable for the officers.”
