A fire forced the evacuation of several businesses at Fountain Plaza on Lee Highway this morning.
The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to 7010 Lee Highway early this morning.
Smoke was visible coming from the Epic Sports Bar and Grill. The first arriving firefighters found the fire in a storage room adjacent to the restaurant’s kitchen. The fire was quickly extinguished, minimizing the fire damage to the restaurant and the rest of the businesses in the three-story business complex.
Chief Eldridge ordered an evacuation of the businesses adjacent to the restaurant as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
