HamiltonSings!, an event involving students and educators from 47 Hamilton County elementary schools, will ring out Tuesday, Oct. 25, at First Baptist Church, Golden Gateway.
The majority of the day will be spent in music education, with local music teachers hosting choral, instrumental and movement instruction for more than 140 local fifth-graders. These singing, dancing and instrument-playing sessions will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
The day will conclude with a student performance at 6:30 p.m. The concert will include guest appearances by the Chattanooga Boys Choir and the Scenic City Chorus of Sweet Adelines International.
Participating students auditioned for a chance to represent their schools in this Honor Choir. The event is sponsored by Hamilton County Schools with support from the Public Education Foundation, Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, the Boys Choir and First Baptist.
