Halloween zineThe Chatt Comix Co-Op will have copies of “Cauldron O’ Comix: A Hallow-Zine Anthology” for sale at FAFF. The anthology of 10 tales — from cute and lighthearted to downright chilling — was created by 13 local artists and writers and completely produced and printed in Chattanooga. Age recommendation is 13 and up. Each copy is $5. All proceeds go toward the continued creative endeavors of the Chatt Comix Co-Op, a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating and promoting comics. Copies also are available at Infinity Flux, 3643 Hixson Pike, Suite B, where the group meets on first and third Thursdays at 6 p.m.
The Frightening Ass Film Festival hits year six on Saturday, Oct. 29, with a full day of horror movies, guest directors, music, a comedy show and art exhibit.
Organizer Chris Dortch, executive director of the Chattanooga Film Festival and Mise En Scenesters, reminisces online about how, in such a short time, “the scope and scale of our FAFF-ery got bigger and better and more frightening.”
