A 27-year-old man was killed early this morning while walking on the shoulder of Interstate 75 just south of Ringgold, Ga.
Michael Nease was killed on I-75 southbound at mile marker 342, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
He was struck by a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Jordan Shelton. She and a passenger in the car, Nicholas Surgeon, were both taken to a local hospital and released.
Charges are pending, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The incident happened near the Whitfield and Catoosa county lines.
