Retired general should rethink Trump stand
I hope you will publicize at least one name that appears, first, in the Donald Trump advertisement in Thursday’s New York Times – that of local retired Gen. Burwell B. Bell III. The ad touts the endorsement of Trump by Bell and 87 other retired military figures because of his “commitment to rebuild our military, to secure our borders, to defeat our Islamic supremacist adversaries and restore law and order domestically.”
Perhaps a reporter might be sent to interview Bell to find out if he would like to withdraw his support after watching Trump’s cliché-filled and unbelievable denigration of military leaders Wednesday night in the televised forum on national security. This viewer was appalled at such bluster, as I expect most others were.
