Michael Russell’s two-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 10th inning gave Montgomery a 6-5 Southern League baseball win over visiting Chattanooga and ended the Lookouts’ win streak at four Tuesday night.

Chattanooga (28-10 in the second half) out-hit the Biscuits 16-9, including four hits from Carlos Paulino, but was 4-for-17 with runners in scoring position.

Zack Littell, whom the Minnesota Twins obtained in the Jaime Garcia trade with the New York Yankees just prior to the trade deadline, started for the Lookouts and pitched well despite not being involved in the decision. Littell went six innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits while striking out six.

The Lookouts were one strike from losing in nine innings when hot-hitting Paulino produced an RBI double. Luke Bard (4-3) took the loss.

Game four of the five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Fernando Romero (10-6, 2.64 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts. Jose Mujica (9-7, 3.38) is scheduled for the Biscuits.
