There are plenty of examples of Alabama football players who have capitalized on their time in Tuscaloosa and earned opportunities to play in the NFL.

Crimson Tide senior center Bradley Bozeman could be among those next in line, but he has chosen to broaden his Alabama experience past the daily practices and the pageantry of Saturdays inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The 6-foot-5, 314-pounder from Roanoke, Ala., realizes he is on a stage 365 days a year throughout his state, and he wants to make the most of every one of them.

Last month, through the California-based Dream Foundation, Bozeman granted the “Last Wish” of a terminally ill patient in Albertville named Tommy by visiting with him over the phone. Several days later, he showed up in Boaz to grant another “Last Wish” request to a patient named Lamont.

“This guy has cancer, and his last wish was to talk to Alabama football players,” Bozeman said. “Our social department came to me and asked if I would talk to him. We rode up to Boaz, and I got to sit down and meet with him for two hours.

“That was honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.”
