A driver was killed in a crash on Standifer Gap Road, according to a release from City of Collegedale Public Information Officer Tonya Sadler.
The driver of the only vehicle involved in the crash was thrown from the car after crashing in the 10,000 block of the road, according to the release.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The driver will be released once next of kin is identified.
