Markell Boston, a former three-star prep prospect who spent the last three seasons at Auburn, has transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football program.
Boston – who has enrolled at UTC – was at Friday’s practice, starting the first of his three-day acclimation period. He should start practice next week.
The 6-foot, 200-pound safety is immediately eligible and will have two seasons remaining with the Mocs. He played in all 13 games last season for the Tigers, recording six tackles.
