Local vocalist Robin Grant releases her first album, “Good Girl,” on Friday, June 2, on iTunes, and locally on Saturday night, June 3, at a private, invitation-only CD release party.
“Good Girl” is a collection of 10 original jazz songs that Grant wrote and recorded with her band, The Standard.
She says her musical influences stem from “years of watching old Hollywood films at my grandmother’s house and wanting music to evoke those larger-than-life emotions you feel from the screen.”
The album was recorded at Cook Sound Studios in Fort Payne, Ala.
The album will sell for $12, and can be purchased online at RobinGrantMusic.net, on iTunes, Amazon or CDBaby.
