The victim in a fatal Durham Drive house fire has been identified.
Johnnye McDavid, 83, died from smoke inhalation in the Thursday blaze, according to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The woman’s husband, Charles McDavid, was treated and released from a local hospital for minor burns.
The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental. The fire was caused by an electrical malfunction.
