GOP should have fixed Obamacare
The Republican health care bill should be called the American Health Kill Act. How can 13 white men sequester themselves, no input from women, no input from African-Americans, no input from entities that serve people, and come up with anything that approximates a reasonable health care bill? The answer: They can’t.
The Republicans could have taken the ACA and repaired what needed fixing and been heroes. Instead, they focused on a stupid campaign promise that catered to the far right base. This health care bill (using the term loosely) will result in a sicker population and the senseless deaths of many.
And how can cutting hundreds of billions in taxes for the top 2 percent of households and for insurance and drug companies be financially sound for our country? How does that serve anything but greed? We have proven time and again “trickle down economics” does not work. No one else will benefit from those cuts, but those cuts have to come from somewhere. That “somewhere” is from the programs our “illustrious” congressmen and women are reducing or eliminating.
Sens. Corker and Alexander, show yourselves worthy of your office and oppose this process and its abhorrent results!
