The Tennessee Department of Transportation is reporting a multiple vehicle crash at mile-marker 153 has the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 blocked.
The accident happened close to the Kimball Lane overpass around 12:45 p.m. CDT and is expected to be cleared by 2:45 p.m. CDT, according to TDOT. The agency’s Smartway map shows traffic beginning to back up toward the top of Monteagle Mountain.
Westbound traffic is moving, officials said.
