LOS ANGELES (AP) – Jackie Chan wishes he could have used his iconic, on-screen martial arts skills to help those at Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas.

In an interview Tuesday, Chan said he’s feeling ‘useless’ in the wake of the rampage that killed at least 59 people at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

Chan said he’s praying for the victims and families and wished he could be a real-life superhero to help bring ‘bad people’ to justice.

The Hong King star does get the chance to battle terrorists in his new action-thriller “The Foreigner,” opening Oct. 13. Chan plays a grief-stricken father hunting a rogue IRA cell in the film from director Martin Campbell.

He hopes the movie’s message will help “stop these kind of terror things, stop the bombing.”
