A medical examiner’s report shows 35-year-old Shawn Foster died as a result of two gunshot wounds by his stepfather in the March 27 double fatal shooting on Eldridge Road in Harrison.
After shooting his stepson, Melvin Scott, 71, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators have determined that a domestic altercation between the two men escalated, resulting in their deaths.
Investigators are still waiting on additional reports, including the final medical examiner’s autopsy report and additional toxicology tests.
