WAVERLY, Tenn. (AP) - A former Tennessee jailer has been charged with introducing contraband and sexual contact with an inmate.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 41-year-old Chrystal Michelle Krasinski of New Johnsonville was indicted in Humphreys County this week and arrested Wednesday.

The agency began investigating the case in June and alleges that Krasinski brought several cellphones to the jail for inmates and had inappropriate sexual contact with an inmate at least once while on duty. Krasinski's employment was terminated when the allegations came up.

Krasinski was charged with official misconduct, sexual contact with an inmate and two counts of introduction of contraband.

A phone number listed in her name rang busy Wednesday night.
