The contractor doing the ongoing rebuild of East Brainerd Road will close Banks Road next week, the Tennessee Department of Transportation says.
In a news release, TDOT spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn said Banks Road at East Brainerd will be closed Monday through Jan. 12.
The contractor will be finishing up a water main installation and then placing fill and asphalt tying Banks into East Brainerd Road.
Detour signs will be posted routing traffic along Morris Hill Road and Igou Gap. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed.
