The Chattanooga Lookouts held their final morning start of the season Wednesday at AT&T Field, coming up short in a 5-4 loss to Pensacola.

It was the second straight loss for Chattanooga after its seven-game winning streak. An announced crowd of 1,716 attended Wednesday’s matchup, which left the Lookouts 13-20 in the Southern League’s second half and 49-53 overall.

The Lookouts trailed 5-3 entering the ninth inning and were down to their final out when Brent Rooker singled to left field, Luis Arraez singled to center and Chris Paul had an RBI double to left. After Mitchell Kranson was intentionally walked, Jaylin Davis struck out swinging to end the game.

Davis got the Lookouts back in the contest in the sixth inning, when they trailed 5-0 before loading the bases with an Arraez walk, a Paul single to center and a Kranson single to right. Davis brought in all three runners with a double to right.

Pensacola was up 1-0 in the second inning when Luis Gonzalez’s triple to center scored Gavin LaValley and Narcisco Crook. Cassidy Brown followed with a single to center to score Gonzalez to make it 4-0.

The Lookouts and Blue Wahoos will play game four of a five-game series at AT&T tonight at 7:15.
