A series of vignettes describing the joys and tribulations of Southern Appalachian life will be presented by the Alexian Players on Friday, May 18, at 7 p.m. in St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., on Signal Mountain.
“An Evening with Jo” is based on the writings of East Tennessee author Jo Carson. The play’s conversations are taken from Carson’s book, “Stories I Ain’t Told Nobody Yet.”
This is the first of four productions planned by Alexian Players this year. The play is directed by Nancy Paule.
Tickets are available at the Mountain Arts Community Center for $10 apiece. The production is a fundraiser to benefit programs of the MACC.
