A person apparently shot himself in the foot Wednesday afternoon, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies responded to a person shot report about 1:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of Snow Hill Road.
They found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the foot. According to the victim, he was cleaning a firearm when it discharged, hitting his foot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report,
Detectives are presently at the scene following up on the incident, but at this point all evidence is leading detectives to believe this was an accidental shooting.
