Football

The Southern Athletic Association game was moved there from Trinity’s nearby campus and moved ahead two hours because of the threat of heavy rain. Trinity, which holds a 23-4 lead in the series with Sewanee’s Tigers, is 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the SAA this season, with league wins against Birmingham-Southern and Rhodes and close losses to Millsaps and Centre. Sewanee is 3-4, 2-3 and can reach four wins in a season for the first time in five years. But it has been playing without No. 1 quarterback Alex Darras from Notre Dame High School and No. 1 punter Ben Brown from Signal Mountain since part way through the Oct. 6 loss at Berry, with fellow junior and starting wide receiver Micah Maes showing his versatility as now the punter and the backup quarterback to freshman Grayson Baker.
