Tomorrow is “Walk to Work Day,” a holiday celebrated on the first Friday of April and endorsed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. If you can’t make your morning commute by foot, you might consider walking to get lunch.
Regardless of how you choose to move more, we won’t miss this opportunity to share with you one of our favorite jokes:
Two birds arrange to meet for lunch at noon. The first bird arrives and looks at his watch. His friend is late. Five minutes pass, then ten. Thirty minutes later, his friend finally appears.
“Well, what took you so long?” the first bird squawks.
“It was such a nice day,” his friend replies. “I thought I’d walk.”
All right, all right. On with today’s top stories:
Tonight, the Tennessee Aquarium’s IMAX 3D Theater will host a premiere party for the new film “Hidden Rivers of Southern Appalachia,” which explores an astonishing variety of rarely seen wildlife within our local waterways.
Jim Douthat has lived on Signal Mountain for more than half of the town’s life. And he knows its history unlike anyone else.
What could make Chattanooga’s annual Running of the Chihuahuas even more fun? How about the event’s biggest and strongest musical lineup to date?
