Salacious Selena

Apparently, 2018 Georgia governor’s race loser Stacey Abrams wants to be taken seriously as a candidate for other offices, but she was happy to discuss her past as an erotic fiction author with late-night television host Stephen Colbert recently.

Writing as Selena Montgomery, the former Georgia state senator chronicled what Newsbusters termed “the desires and carnal fulfillments of lonely, white-collar housewives with a penchant for sexually aggressive lawyers.”

Colbert read a steamy excerpt from one of Abrams’ novels, “Reckless,” and, with the audience, only encouraged her onetime side career. While she fumbled out “Oh, Dear God,” and “Can I leave now?” he suggested, “If you’re going to write a romance novel, make it a bodice-ripper.”

Colbert then asked her if her current political biography, “Lead From Outside,” had any of the same material. “Because then I understand why it would be a best-seller,” he said.
