Geneva AtkinsAn 83-year-old woman‘s body has been found in Meigs County nearly a week after she was reported missing, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
HCSO officials found Geneva Atkins deceased on Monday night at around 8:15 p.m. near Decatur, Tennessee.
Atkins’ vehicle was found north of Decatur, near the 22000 block of Highway 58, the release states.
Her vehicle apparently left the road and crossed a field before hitting a wooded tree line.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, according to the release.
